About the event

Join YT for a guided walking tour of the Tuscaloosa Civil Rights History Trail on Friday, February 19. We will meet at the northwest corner of Greensboro Avenue & University Blvd (near Embassy Suites) at 11:20am and the one-hour tour will begin promptly at 11:30am. Scott Bridges will guide us to sites of significant events in Tuscaloosa's civil rights history.

Participants are encouraged to park either in the public lot behind Embassy Suites or along Greensboro Avenue or University Blvd. We will tour several sites in the downtown area, then drive to First African Baptist Church.

In advance of the tour, registrants are encouraged to check out the Tuscaloosa Civil Rights History Trail brochure.

What to Bring: Your face mask, comfortable walking shoes, weather-appropriate clothing

What to Expect: A one-hour (mostly) walking tour of the sites of siginficant events in Tuscaloosa's civil rights history
