Lunch & Learn: Digital Equity and Inclusion 101

Lunch and Learn at Chamber of Commerce Board Room (upstairs) on October 4th from 12 - 1 PM. The topic is on Digital Equity & Inclusion 101: Spotlight on Alabama Broadband Internet Access. October 2-6 is National Digital Inclusion Week.  About one-fifth of addresses in Alabama lack access to high-speed internet, and about three-fourths do not have access to the speed officials consider the standard for the next decade. Learn about digital equity and inclusion, broadband accessibility in Alabama, current efforts for digital expansion, why it matters, and what you can do to spread awareness. Discuss what community needs will be as broadband internet access expands and brainstorm ways in which we can support those needs and build connected communities.
