July Thrive After Five: Sip & Paint

Get ready to awaken your inner Picasso at Thrive After Five: Sip & Paint sponsored by Bama By Distance and The District Room on Tuesday, July 21 from 5:30-8:30pm. Tuscaloosa-based contemporary artist Stephanie Kirkland will guide participants in creating their very own still life masterpiece. In order to adhere to social distancing guidelines, in-venue space is limited to the first 20 to register. In accordance with the statewide mask order, all in-venue attendees are required to wear a face covering. There is a virtual option via Zoom for overflow and for members who would prefer to sip & paint at home. The cost for in-venue is $15 for YT members and $50 for not-yet members. There is no admission fee for virtual participants, but you will need to purchase your supplies in advance from this resource list.

What to Expect: Whether you'll be joining in person or tuning in virtually, Stephanie will guide you through creating an art piece using a floral arrangement as inspiration. You'll learn about about color mixing, painting techniques & concepts, and more! Light appetizers and drinks will be served for in-venue attendees.

What Bring: If you're joining us in person at The District Room, just bring yourself (and wear your face covering!). If you'll be participating virtually, don't forget to purchase your supplies in advance.
